Prospective Players and Parents:
In this unprecedented year, we are excited to announce that boys basketball tryouts for all levels will begin on Monday, January 18th. All students trying out must be cleared through the athletic office prior to participation on the first day. A player should have all of the following completed and turned-in to the PHS Athletics office on or before Friday, January 15th to participate in the first tryout. If you are not registered by Friday, January 15th, you will not be allowed to start tryouts on the 18th. Additional tryout dates will not be added for those failing to complete registration on time.
· Completed the Winter Athletic Registration and Parent Permission through PlanetHS

· Completed (D51)Physical Form signed by a Doctor
· Paid $140 Participation Fee (fee will be refunded should a player not make the team) For additional information or questions regarding these requirements please contact Athletic Director, Gregg Hawkins. Unfortunately, everyone will not make the team. During tryouts players will be evaluated on a variety of basketball skills, academics, school attendance, and intangibles including attitude will also be considered when making our decisions. We want players to represent their team and school in a positive manner. Tryout dates and time are as follows:

Final cuts will be made following the Tuesday tryout sessions. Students that make the team will be expected at practice Wednesday; 3:30-6 pm JV/Varsity, 5:30-7:30 pm C-Team. Coaches will meet and discuss the tryout evaluation for those who don’t make the team. Students are encouraged to meet with coaches prior to parents calling or emailing to discuss tryouts and evaluations.
Whether your son makes the team or not, I want to thank everyone for trying out and wanting to become a member of the Bulldog Basketball Program.
